Survey of some medicinal plants of district Rampur (U.P.) India with special reference to their therapeutic value

Medicinal plants play an important role in Unani, and Ayurveda medicine. India is the largest producer country of medicinal plant and also rich in medicinal flora. The present study was conducted in 2020 with the survey of medicinal plants of district Rampur, Uttar Pradesh India. In the present study 48 medicinal plants of 28 families were selected from different tehsil of district Rampur. The survey deals with the study of ethnobotanical characteristics feature of plant, family, plant parts used in making drugs with special reference to their traditional medicinal uses, habit of plant, family wise distribution of plants and their role in specific diseases. The results of the present study showed that, the leaf is the maximum used part of plant in making of different medicine and the stem is the minimum used part of plant. The use of trees significantly increased in the production of drugs as compared to herb, shrub and climber. Significant and medicinal trees are maximum used in district Rampur.
