GC-MS analysis of Peganum harmala: An ethnomedicinal plant of Shekhawati Region Rajasthan

Due to increasing crisis of drug resistant microorganisms, it is required to explore new natural sources for drug developments. Plants consist of numerous constituents known as phytoconstituents or bioactive components that have properties to fight with infectious diseases. Peganum harmala is one of them plant species which consist of different active ingredients that can help drug industries to develop new drugs against drug resistant microorganisms. In present study active constituents of Peganum harmala were analyzed by GC-MS technique with respective structural detailing of the compounds which make this plant species precious.
