Pande Aaditya, Patel Nikitesh, Patel Ritesh and Swati Borse

Cough syrups are widely used for symptomatic relief of respiratory conditions. This study aimed to formulate and evaluate a herbal cough syrup incorporating Punica granatum (pomegranate) peel along with other traditional herbs like ginger, Tulsi, black pepper, fennel, peppermint, and liquorices. A decoction method was used, with jaggery serving as a natural base and preservative to enhance palatability and shelf life. The syrup was evaluated for organoleptic properties, pH, viscosity, solubility, and stability under dissimilar situation. The findings suggest that the formulated herbal syrup possesses suitable physicochemical characteristics and potential therapeutic benefits.
