Nutritionally, Lagenaria siceraria is richin amino acids, minerals, sterols, polyphenols, and vitamins, offering antioxidant, antiinflammatory, and antidiabetic properties. Medicinally, it exhibits cardioprotective, hepatoprotective, antimicrobial, anthelmintic, and anticancer activities, with significant potential in treating cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, inflammation, and liver disorders.
