Ethnobotany is the study
of the relationship between people and plants, and it is a multidisciplinary
field that evaluated how different cultures use plants for various purposes
including food, medicines, rituals, and other cultural practices. The current
research documents of ethnomedicinal plants from Vansda taluka, Navsari
district, Gujarat, India. The study aimed to collect indigenous traditional
knowledge on medicinal plants through discussions with people of Vansda taluka.
During field visit i met around 10 traditional healers from whom I obtain
ethnomedicinal data. In this study, I found around 80 plants, which can be used
for treatment of disease. The current research focuses on the enormous amount
of ethnobotanical information about regular plants used by the community.
