Diversity of wild Vigna Species in Savalghat forest Region of Peth Taluka, Nashik, Maharashtra

From many years ago the tribal community totally depend on the forest for their basic needs. Forest is one of the rich sources of healthy, nutritious, residue free wild fruits, vegetables and so on. The present study examined the diversity of wild Vigna species in Savalghat forest region of Peth taluka. It was carried out during 2018 to 2021. Total 5 wild species of Vigna was found from the study area. Among the species V.silvestris and V.sublobata was a dominate species observed in this region. V. khandalensis was an endemic and threated species found in Savalghat hill forest region.
