It belongs to the Myrtaceae family and is growing in tropical and subtropical regions across the world. It is poor man’s fruit plant and also called super fruit plant. Guava is a wild, cultivated species.
Regular field surveys were conducted in different forests and villages in and around the Bargarh district to collect plant species. Information on ethnomedicinal uses was gathered through interactions with local herbal medicine practitioners, Kabirajs, and Vaidyas. This paper aims to systematically document the data collected during the survey to ensure its preservation for future generations. The collected plant species have been identified and preserved in the form of herbarium following standard methods, and they have been deposited in the herbarium of the Botany Department at Panchayat College, Bargarh.
